Waikerie Caravan Park is situated 175 kms. from Adelaide in the citrus centre of Australia. In the heart of the Riverland, Waikerie is an oasis set amid acres upon acres of citrus plantations. The Murray River and township are within walking distance. The park has modern, clean amenities, camp kitchen, special needs bathroom, and shady drive thru sites. At Waikerie Caravan Parkthere are many types of accommodation to choose from. Their are 2 bedroom Villas ,2 bedroom Family Units and a Spa Unit for that special weekend away. All ensuite cabins have TV, Austar, full kitchen facilities including microwave oven, hotplates and full-size refrigerator, airconditioning,heating, all crockery and cutlery. The Main Beds in the Spa, Family and Villa units have linen provided. Linen hire is available for all other beds. Budget Cabins are for 2 persons only, linen is not provided. If youre towing your own home camping on the grounds, the Waikerie Caravan Park has a camp kitchen with free barbecue facilities, up-to-date bathroom facilities and special-needs amenities. The park also has WiFi Internet. There is easy access to a nearby boat ramp if you want to go water skiing. There are 2 boat ramps nearby which makes it ideal for all types of boating. Waikerie has a large range of sports, including: golf, lawn bowls, tennis, hockey speedway, and also holds the annual Rock n Roll Festival in May. If you like exploring on foot, the Waikerie cliff top walk provides splendid views of the Murray and is a great way to spend an afternoon. The International Soaring Centre at Waikerie Airfield can take you up in a glider for a birds-eye view of the Riverland for the more adventurous. The park is also an ideal stopover for visitors to Gluepot Reserve & Banrock Station.
